The Shoemaker Who Dreamed Big

William Carey began life as an ordinary shoemaker in England. Many expected him to spend his life repairing shoes. But God placed a much bigger dream in his heart.

In 1793, he travelled to India. That decision changed not only his life, but also the lives of countless people through Bible translation, education, and Christian mission work.

A devastating fire destroyed years of translation work, dictionaries, and valuable manuscripts. Many thought everything was lost. Carey simply began again.
